21st Oct 1879 First Light Bulb

On 21st October 1879 Thomas Edison tested the very first Incandescent Light Bulb.

Wow look how far Light Bulbs have come! Not only has the Incandescent Light bulb been successful in bring electric lighting to all types of buildings and lives, and in doing so saved thousands of lives from candle fires. But we have seen the Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb also, which was the first light bulb to be 8energy saving in its day, and now the LED Light Bulb which is designed to be even more energy efficient.
