Large Globe Halogen Light Bulbs still Available.
Traditional light bulbs are being phased out and modern light technologies use different amounts of power to achieve the same amount of light. Instead of referring to watts anymore, we now need to measure and compare light in terms of lumens. Halogen lamps look just the same as traditional bulbs, with the same bright quality light, but cut down on energy consumption by up to 30 to 50%. Available in standard candle, spherical and reflector shapes, our lamps create a stunning light, and can also be used with dimming switches for a cosier atmosphere.
Halogen IR (infrared) range of low voltage reflector lamps provide up to 43% energy savings over conventional MR16 lamps and – with the addition of the patented GE (for example) reflector coating technology – unparalleled colour rendering throughout life. Incandescent and halogen lamps lose approximately 76% of the input energy by radiating heat, and convert only 8% into useful light. The Precise™ IR halogen capsule has multiple layers of very durable, thin, interference film which redirects heat back onto the lamp filament. This allows it to give off more visible light for the same input power.
Halogen lamps: Trend of the times
Adding halogens turns conventional light bulbs into halogen lamps. Things simply look better in the brilliant light generated by these lamps.
Halogen lamps are up to 100% brighter than conventional lamps. They create interesting effects on
the objects they illuminate enhanced by the fascinating interaction of spectral colours in the reflectors. It is hardly surprising that halogen lamps are a top choice for today's interior designs.
The small sizes and wide diversity of lamp types - from spotlights to floodlights - open up a new dimension of creative possibilities for lighting designers. Halogen lamps also last up to four times longer than conventional light bulbs.
These advantages mean that halogen lamps are preferred in an increasing number of applications, from lighting objects on display at trade shows and exhibitions, to illuminating buildings and lighting offices and homes.
Functional principle of the halogen cycle the technological advancements of halogen lamps including smaller size, brighter light and longer life, are enabled by the functional principle of the halogen cycle.
